    4. It's spring, so the terrace is open.

Actually, there's no terrace. We're looking out the window.

    Samaritan!

Although I can't picture what church that is......

Ding ding ding! La Samaritaine would be the right response! Yeah, Emaleejayne!

As for the church--it's the church right by Le Fumoir--that's how I'd describe it :) Looking at my map, I see it's between rue de l'Arbre and Place du Louvre, but I can't make out the name. So many churches! How to keep track?

Damn time zone difference! Totally knew it was the Samaritaine and feel quite proud of myself, even though I was not the first to chime in...well done, Emaleejayne. *muttering as she grudgingly accepts defeat*

Well, you may be looking out the window, but they do have a very nice terrace. Hence hint #4. ;)

*smacks head for trying to be cute*

    3 points for speed
    -3 points for spelling

(note to self: must brush up on written French)

    Holy Guacamole, Batman!

That's right next to where I live these days with Chaton!

As we used to say in Boston when I was a kid, we pahk the cah next doouh at dah cahpahk "Pont MaRRRRRie*".

    *en français dans le texte

you mentionned "le fumoir". It's one of the nice places to hang out. Excellent atmosphere, with a "bibliothèque", and a sort of Art Déco Atmosphere...
Food is much better then the usual Costes Avatars (maybe to the exception of the Georges) the chef is sweedish.

Mojitos are excellent, but you can order a martini and get a decent one..

    Sorry about the disgression...

naaahhh the Fumoir is now full of tourist and "wish to be". Totally out ;-)

    la samaritaine!

    *sigh*

    a day late and a dollar short . . c'est la guerre . .

count your blessings it was just tinkle. in romania, it would be much worse than just tinkle. much worse.

    Aw crap.

I thought you were in Ypres.

(Commonly pronounced by English-speakers as "Wipers".)

DDJ, *I'm* smacking *my* head for being slow.

Srah & Brando, the funnies never stop!

As for the Fumoir. Nice? Over? All I knows is they got some excellent hot chocolate.

Love the picture, loved the style of the movie, how fantastic to be so close to such architecture

    into! not at!

...as the old toilet sign goes...

Sniffle. I miss Paris. Good thing I have a friend dropping out of med school (woohoo! Another joins the club!) to move there to be a writer. Then I have someone I can stay with so I can return to La Samaritaine and all the other fabulous places in Paris.

Confession. I loved The Bourne Identity. not sure why...maybe because all of the wonderful shots of Paris.

That movie was just on last night... timely posting. :)

Its funny how everything is beautiful in Europe, even the view form the toilet!!
and shame on the person who used it before you!!

Sigh...I remember the good old days when we'd be treated to pictures of sightly legs and mini skirts...

    hear, hear!

oltho, i'd settle for any post just now

    feeling deprived :(

My Samaritaine secret is...check out the sweaters in the yarn department. Sometimes they sell them. A bargain! (At least in January/Feb and July during the sales.) Naturally, I am somehow always there at those times. A coincidence, I am sure.
